What is the right method to export to Africa?
Especially in the African experiences of SMEs, new exporters and manufacturers who do not do business on a very large scale, there is always the concept of "being close with an important title such as Minister, King, Governor".
Regardless of the product they produce and their monthly capacity, some manufacturers have meaningless beliefs that being close to an official at a very high level, increasing exports to that country.
A manufacturer that produces plastic buckets should make an effort to find the right customer instead of trying to reach the minister of industry of an African country, and the effort to reach the king of a region.
This mistake has actually caused the concept of commercial diplomacy to be misunderstood and used recently. Many trips were wasted by these meaningless, tiring and useless meetings.
The right customer relationship should be established either directly with a company visit from the industry or through their links in that industry through general trade companies that are common in Africa.
